How do you decide who to hire best carpet cleaner
Looking for best carpet Cleaner? Remember your inviting strangers into your home. First question should be. How long has company been in business. The of time will indicate the companies dedication to the cleaning industry and their length of experience. A quick Google search for customer reviews can also tell you a lot about the company. OK so the company has been in business for a long time, but who are they going to send. Many companies clean and profit in volume sales, so they hire anyone that can show sign of life. If your still hesitant about making a decision, call friends and neighbors. Friends who do they use to clean their homes?
You can choose to hire a large company, that always plays that song on the radio. Companies with bright colored fleet of vans they show on TV. Before you do call these highly advertised companies. Who pays for these fancy commercials? Compare this when you walk out of a professional office with a bag full of goodies, who paid for them? The answer is You, you the consumer. The large companies reflect pie cut up into many slices. First slice Advertisement 2nd-Franchise fees 3rd-Payroll 4th-rent. Maintenance and utility fees 5th Accounting, Human Resources, Van fleet lease payments, Gasoline, workers compensation, etc. The employees that do show up are paid commission. However less time they spend at your home the more revenue they make. The company has to make a profit, add more digits on the check.
Small Local Business
Small business have to work harder to earn your business, due to lack of funds to advertise. You will get more value for your money using small Family business. Small business owners almost always involved in daily aspects of the Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Business. Unlike big corporations who are mainly concerned with the bottom line and profits. Customers dazzled by fancy certificates stating that the company is certified in this and that. Certifications advertised almost bought. Company paid for and attended a class, does not mean a third party is monitoring the companies standards. Big business can afford to purchase these fancy certificates. Corporations afford to pay premium prices for organizations that pretend to offer a consumer a better product.
Personally myself, I stopped paying for these certificates and organizations However did nothing to better my business, just drained funds every year. My 30 years of Carpet and Upholstery cleaning in Michigan, I never once had to show a certificate that stated I was the best cleaner in Michigan. IICRC who claim to be the experts in Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, only profit from business, they do not monitor the standards of cleaning, only collect an average of $500 a year from each company every year. standards manuals state and the certifications charge purchased, not regulated. Companies have these Certificates but do not practice the methods stated in the Manuel.
Large companies are mostly interested in hiring cheap labor and sending them to your home, pay them commission, and force them to rush the cleaning performed in your home, and move on to the next job. I get a big laugh when I see the fancy signs on Carpet Cleaning yellow vans stating they are certificated by the ( Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America) Claim to remove 99% of contaminants in your carpet, seriously due people actually believe this? You pay the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America a membership fee every year, they don’t regulate the cleaning and they sure cant put a % of contaminants in your carpet.
Ask your neighbors, friends, ask them, who do they use for Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning do not be sucked in by manipulating paid advertisements and Certifications. You the consumer will pay for what you see, call small family business in your area, before you make a final decision, you will be glad you did, and have more money in your wallet. Garbage is still Garbage no matter what Certification’s you hang on it or rich advertisement wasted on it, see past the media and call around.
